Plastic Free KB | #PlasticFreeKB's goal is to eliminate single-use plastics in Key Biscayne

#PlasticFreeKB Student Internship Information and Application

Our program aims to train and certify students as representatives of the #PlasticFreeKB program, who will then visit businesses around the Village of Key Biscayne to ask them to join our initiative. Plastic pollution, especially from single-use plastics, has caused major environmental problems locally and globally.  Plastic production from fossil fuels adds to our negative impact on climate change, while plastic products themselves cause devastating impacts on wildlife and habitats.

We are looking for High School or first-year University student interns who are enthusiastic about learning about this problem and tackling it in a meaningful way. Interns will learn the background and details of the plastic pollution problem, products that can be used for best practice in environmental sustainability, public speaking, and the three-tiers of the #PlasticFreeKB program.
